HOLLENBECK HOME
Hollenbeck Home is a retirement home located at 533 South Boyle Avenue in the Boyle Heights area of Los Angeles. Since 1985 our Father Ashman has been serving there as the Episcopal Chaplain. His visit there once a month is, normally, on the fourth Tuesday of the month. The service is held, usually at 3:30PM, in the Skilled Nursing Unit that is named Hensel Hall. Father Ashman conducts an Anglican service to which all residents (regardless of their religious affiliation) are invited. Depending upon the residents' abilities at that time, there usually are anywhere from 8 to 20 (sometimes even more) grateful worshippers.
This program is an important outreach of Church of Our Saviour that brings solace and inspiration into the difficult lives of the seniors at the facility. Visitors are welcome to come and join in the service. That, in itself, would favorably increase the service's impact on those residents by knowing that you care.

Our church's ministry can take many forms and be enhanced in many ways. One way the daily services and meditations in our parish church are made more meaningful is by the glorious picture presented by the beautiful stained glass window behind our altar. We hope you will attend our services, bask in the window’s glow and feel it enhance your contemplative thoughts and prayers.
